We had a great time at the Handmade & Bound Nashville festival!
If you didn’t get a chance to check out the Pine Island Press / Half-Stop table, but you are in the area look for the newest Incandescent in the Watkins library.
Incandescent is thrilled to be among the 50 magazines included in PAGE IMPRESSIONS a selection of international photography magazines, which take as their curatorial subject, documentary- and fine art photography running at the same time as the show the Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-HeidelbergFotofestival. Page Impressions is part of OFF FOTO 2015, a collaborative program of photography exhibitions by independent spaces. The Exhibition will be up 9/11–11/15/2015 and will also include related events.
Pittsburgh, don’t miss this PHOTO SLUMBER PARTY put together by our pal Sarah LaPonte, of Half Stop Press, and hosted by Bunker Projects. Activities will include a projection show of images from the first three years of Incandescent, a photo zine show and tell, a dream tent by Kevin Clancy, a site-specific camera obscura, talks by local photographers, and oh yeah, pancakes.
As Portland Photo Month comes to a close we want to thank everyone who came out to the Small Press Meet Up Sunday. We had a great time gawking at new publications and mingling with other zine makers and Photo enthusiasts. If you didn’t make it over there is always next year!
April is Portland photo month! Pine Island Press and the Independent Publishing Resource Center will be celebrating by hosting a photography self publishing / small press meet up and exhibit, April 27th 7-9pm. Beer and light refreshments available. The event is FREE to participate and attend.
If you are interested in showing your work please email email@example.com and we will provide some table space for you. You are welcome to sell your work or just have it on display. Pine Island Press will also be showing a projection show of images from the first 2-1/2 years of Incandescent.
Additionally, the IPRC will be displaying a collection of photography publications throughout the month of April. If you would like to have your photo book or zine included in the display please consider donating it to the IPRC library. Please help the IPRC grow it’s photography section and promote the making of photo zines!
